Low Voltage Installer

Brothers Fire & Security, located in Elk River, Minnesota, is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to provide installation, maintenance, and support services to our valued customers across the state of Minnesota. We are looking for someone who can successfully complete the project at hand, while also providing outstanding customer service. Communication and transparency is key, ensuring our customers are kept in the loop from start to finish.  

Brothers Fire & Security is the Midwest’s leading experienced Fire and Security Integration company.  We design, build, install, inspect and service fire sprinkler, alarm security safety and suppression systems.  Our full complement of services includes fire alarm, fire suppression, fire extinguishing system, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm monitoring, system inspection, cameras, card access, mass notification, structured cabling infrastructures and more! Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, install, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical systems that monitor fire and security alarm systems 
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarms, access controls, cameras, paging, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues while out in the field
  • Travel to customer sites as needed in a company van, Minnesota only

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • 2+ years of low voltage installer experience preferred 
  • Ground fault troubleshooting experience preferred
  • PLT License preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and no history of major violations
  • Must join either the IBEW Local Union 110 or 292 upon hire
