Job Summary: Accounts Payable

Brothers Fire & Security has an immediate opening in our Accounts Payable Department. Brothers Fire
is a provider of Complete Life Safety Solutions. We design, build, install, service and inspect
commercial Security, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression systems as well as sell, service and
inspection of Fire Extinguishers and Commercial Kitchen Hood systems.

Salary: $56,160 - $60,320

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to assist Brothers Fire with the processing of all
transactions for all vendor invoices and payments.

• •  Managing Accounts Payable using our Accounting Software “Jonas” and other programs
  •  Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensuring accurately entering invoice data for all bills while adhering to departmental
    procedures
  • Processing invoices for payments weekly check run
  • Verifying job numbers on invoices are properly coded and reviewing or gathering information if
    missing data on invoices, cc receipts, etc.
  • Collecting all credit card receipts and tying to credit card invoices – coding and processing
  • Auditing Vendor Statements to ensure all have been entered and paid

 Additional Duties:

In addition to the Accounts Payable duties, you will also be responsible for:

• • Answering all incoming calls and greeting customers at the door.
  • Working with Office Assistant in AR Collections and past due payments -supporting Office
    Assistant
  • Setting up new gas cards through Enterprise and ordering tabs when required
  • Order new company cell phones for employees when required.
  • Process Sales Tax information -monthly
  • Support office staff with project-related administrative tasks as needed.
  • Submitting 1099’s at the end of the year
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and functional.
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Ability to work 36-40 hours
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager

 Qualifications:

In addition to the Accounts Payable duties, you will also be responsible for:

• • The candidate must have one year of current experience in accounting, preferably in Accounts
    Payable. Understanding of Accounting and chart of accounts a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional candidates will be professional, self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  Hours for this position are Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. to
  11:00 a.m. in our Elk River Office.
