A Different Cleaning Approach to Re-Opening Schools and Restaurants

A Different Cleaning Approach to Re-Opening Schools and Restaurants

The new year always brings new challenges, but let’s face it, we’re still dealing with an old challenge: COVID-19. Not only do people continue getting sick, but we are also dealing with an emotional pandemic: COVID restrictions and cleaning burn-out. I watched an employee at a grocery store recently cleaning carts with a dirty rag, not doing a thorough job, and obviously not taking his job seriously. When I asked him how his day was going, he said, “I’m done with COVID.”

It’s fair to say that we’re ALL done with COVID.

What started last March as a couple weeks of closures to “flatten” the COVID curve has turned into months of restrictions. The results have severely impacted entire communities. Additional lockdowns have been catastrophic. Hit hardest have been restaurants, especially those without take-out or delivery options, and schools.

Here in Minnesota dozens of restaurants, most of them small and independently owned, have closed, regrettably, for good. As if the economic impact wasn’t bad enough, people are social beings and closed restaurants have deeply impacted our ability to stay engaged in life.

Successfully embracing online learning in our schools has been difficult for children and parents. Daily, districts are faced with deciding on in-person, hybrid or all online class time. It’s challenging for parents to work at home or take time off to help their children stay on task with schoolwork. Children lack socialization. Grades suffer. Discouragement increases.

But there is light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. Vaccines are making their way across Minnesota. The governor is gradually reopening schools, beginning with elementary grades. Restaurants have opened to 50% dine-in.

Getting the kids back in school and completely opening restaurants will go a long way to help everyone economically and mentally recover from the year-long trauma of COVID. The hope is to continue the relaxation of COVID restrictions AND make environments safe for all.

Ongoing COVID Challenges

Getting ahead of the curve on outbreaks has been difficult so far. Quality control is desperately needed. Because we haven’t had to deal with a pandemic in over a hundred years there are conflicting guidelines. Businesses are unable to fully focus on their core job as they deal with constant cleaning, which is time-consuming, costly, and mostly ineffective.

The mandated approach to COVID management of wearing a mask, social distancing, hand washing, lockdowns and constant all-day cleaning isn’t getting the job done to kill germ warfare. A different approach is needed.

We MUST attack the germs with new processes, standards, and the latest technology.

New Solutions = Effective Solutions

Rebuilding our economy and our society is essential to the health and well-being of all Minnesotans. But how do we ensure grocery stores, schools, businesses and restaurants are doing all they can to create germ-free environments?

That’s where Brothers Fire & Security has stepped into the COVID battle. As we announced in December, we are partnering with Germ Fighters USA, an environmental technology company, to fight this war. Utilizing the latest technology in a cost-effective and safe way, Germ Fighters USA uses EV360, an EPA-approved antimicrobial surface protectant in its process.

EV360 is highly effective in destroying COVID, bacteria, mold, viruses, or other microbes. It creates 99.99% germ-free surfaces for up to 90 days, which is 15,000X LONGER than the leading disinfectant! The Germ Fighters USA process tests, disinfects and then protects all surfaces through an electrostatic coating applied by a sprayer. EV360 is safe for people, pet-people and surfaces. It’s water-based, non-toxic, odorless, non-staining and chemical-free. Call us at 800-607-2767 for a FREE demo so you can see the results for yourself.

Brothers Fire & Security and Germ Fighters USA are working with Everest Microbial Defense, which offers lasting antimicrobial surface protection solutions, including EV360. Their products, such as hand purifier, laundry fabric softener, microfiber cloths, and household cleaner, are affordable and effective through proven technology. Everest Microbial Defense products gives you more confidence that all your surfaces are 99.99% clean, and the Germ Fighters USA process makes sure that the job is done right!

Together, the three of us are committed to provide ongoing maximum protection to get our kids and teachers inside the classroom, restaurants at 100% capacity, and all businesses completely back to work. Our goal is to leave COVID behind. Permanently.
