Now Available: Our Life Safety Made Simple Online Training Academy

Great news! Our new Life Safety Made Simple online academy is now available at www.lifesafetymadesimple.com

Over the past few years, our clients have been asking for our help to get and stay compliant with relevant fire and security training for staff. Because they face challenges dealing with issues like staff growth, staff changes, promotions, building expansions, risk management, changes in technology and state laws, we made the commitment to help address those needs. The result: We developed a unique e-learning training platform to specifically focus on life safety issues.

First Things First

Our first online OSHA Complaint training course is “How to Effectively Use Fire Extinguishers.” We created this course because extinguishers are the first line of defense in fires as they can prevent loss of life and property when deployed correctly.

Do you know that if your company provides fire extinguishers at your place of business (and you should!), then training your staff is NOT optional? OSHA is firm on that requirement. “How to Effectively Use Fire Extinguishers” covers the various kinds of fires, different fire extinguishers, how they work and when to use them. This course makes it easy to ensure that every member of your staff knows how to use fire extinguishers.

Lessons for this course include the following:

  • Myths and facts about fires and fire extinguishers
  • The correct way to use different kinds of fire extinguishers.
  • The Fire Triangle, and how it works
  • Life-saving steps to take when there’s a fire
  • Learn what the P.A.S.S. firefighting acronym means
  • Discover the different parts of the fire extinguisher
  • Find out the various classes of fire extinguishers and what equipment to use in different situations
  • A helpful quiz at the end with an attractive certificate of completion document to download and frame

Training Based On Your Needs

Research confirms that that the more employees are engaged and familiar with emergency situations, then the more apt they are to take positive action when needed.

All of the courses being developed are design to be convenient and affordable. Courses meet OSHA compliance requirements for all staff without travel, can lower training costs, and increase successful compliance ratios. You can integrate fire and safety training with onboarding new hires, promotions, and staff changes. The Academy offers single purchase, volume discounts and annual certifications for employee records. Attendees get a certificate of completion at the end of each course.

Other online training courses coming soon include:

  • Know Your Equipment and Emergency Planning
  • How to Build an Effective Safety Plan
  • Training Your Effective Safety Plan
  • How to Manage Card Access

The “Life Safety Made Simple” Online Academy is another value-added way that Brothers Fire & Security can ensure the safety of your business and people. As your strategic life safety partner, we want to make it easier for you to keep your staff trained and compliant. Let us take care of your ongoing training needs so that you can stay focused on your business.
