Vendor Spotlight: Siemens – Ingenuity For Life

Make no mistake about it! Brothers Fire and Security only works with vendors we trust. We look for vendors with significant contributions to new technology in the fire and security industry, and with solutions that focus on quality and customers. Our vendors are important not just because our reputation is on the line, but because we are committed to provide the best in fire and security services. I’m excited to introduce a series on our vendors to tell you about the brands we trust, and to share valuable product and service education.

SIEMENS – RICH HISTORY AND COMMITMENT

Founded in 1847, Siemens CLICK HERE TO VISIT THEIR HOMEPAGE is a global powerhouse focusing on electrification, automation and digitalization. From New York City to Berlin to London to St. Petersburg—in all, 200 countries—Siemens is one of the world’s largest producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies. It’s a leading supplier of systems for power generation and transmission as well as medical diagnosis.

Brothers Fire and Security is proud to be a Siemens Advanced Partner. Their reputation and our experience with them proves that we can trust their commitment to being an industry leader. Siemens is known for their innovativeness, crisis-tested strength, adaptability and a powerful sense of responsibility—and we have seen that in action.

Siemens has a rich and interesting history and I encourage you to read about its innovation. CLICK HERE FOR PDF
It all started in Germany with the pointer telegraph, which transmitted a long distance in a matter of minutes instead of hours, days, or even weeks. Today, Singapore is drawing on Siemens’ assistance to become a “smart nation” through MindSphere, the open, cloud-based operating system. The global potential is incredible and Siemens is on the ground floor!

DEDICATION TO ONGOING TRAINING AND SUPPORT

Like any industry with a long history, Siemens has faced difficulties, such as early sales slumps and the compliance crisis. But for 170 years, they’ve demonstrated excellence in crises management and the ability to change.

They are also dedicated to training and support for clients and customers, regardless of the product or service. For example, here are two “How To” training videos from the company’s YouTube channel about the new Siemens 50 pt and 252/504 pt fire panels. In the brief videos, Jim Loftus, project manager of the FC901 Legacy Systems, and David Burns, project manager of the Cerberus® PRO Fire Alarm Portfolio, clearly explain how to operate the new panels.

These two walk-through videos demonstrate how to prepare the facility and staff with common operation, such as acknowledging and silencing an alarm, supervisory operation, trouble operation and other control features.
